Just to give this topic a bump. An Android version of this would be brilliant.
And a logical step forward for Trackr as this platform has the potential to be Huge!

    Re: Android trackr

Any updates for Android based phones? I just acquired a G2 Touch (from the Dutch T-mobile) and would like to continue using Trackr, just like I did with my HTC TyTN II.

    Re: Android trackr

Come on guys, it isn't that hard to develop an android app.

Still not an anouncement to make about a beta or a possible release-date?

Act now or you'll get crushed by Google Latitude.

    Re: Android trackr

Hi - I've now switched to Android - Is there anything happening with this project.  Would a donation or some help developing it help.

Google Latitude is great for what it is but this app gives a far more detailed  and useful log - There's not really any comparison.

    Re: Android trackr

the developer of trackr told me that there are plans for an Android version, though this is still an alpha version.

if there is something going live it will be announced in time.

    Re: Android trackr

    Hi!

I've been waiting for this app... and waiting... and waiting... They said it would come soon, but to be honest, all my hope is now gone. I've been searching and found an alternative... So for all of us who wants an track-app, here's the sollution:

     http://www.glympse.com/

Why is it so difficult to make an Android app of Trackr? You guys are losing users of this great program, why? I keep on using Glympse, and maybe I will switch to the Android version of Trackr, if it is coming available at all.... (I doubt it)

    Re: Android trackr

Had a play with Glympse some very nice features and very pretty it may well do what some people want but trackr is far superior at creating a Track and viewing the History.

But as we don't have an Android version at the moment then Glympse is probably the best alternative.  It does show there is sufficent demand out there for Android though.  Would love to help getting an Android version of Trackr going

    Re: Android trackr

I've tried Instamapper for a while now on my HTC Hero, since there still isn't a Trackr android app..

Instamapper is also quite nice, and developing quickly. It's free and had the option to create tracks and viewing history. It's also possible to publish track on social networks etc.

I hope that Trackr will develop an android app soon...

    Re: Android trackr

Over 1,5 years now since the "an Android version is currently under development."

Surely there must be something more you can tell us by now??

If Trackr has been abandoned..  That would be a shame, but I would definitely want to know so I can look for a decent alternative.

So pretty PLEASE with sugar on top... What's the status on Android Trackr?????
