My BB has a security timeout of 15 mins. (that's the maximum).  It seems that it stops the GPS datapoints when it goes into security timeout.  Does the security timeout or screen blackout inhibit the GPS connection?

It seems to work fine if the screen is lit.

from the issue that you are describing it seems to me that you are right, Windows Mobile phones have the same issue if you don't change a specific registry code.

mmm...I'm using tracker on a BB9700B , no problems here, whatever I do, even if I forget to switch of the tracker, the whole route is recorded. What if you record your route on your phone, without sending te data to the server ? Does it still switches of the GPS ?
