windows mobile 6.1 (sony ericsson xperia x1) gps while stand-by

does anybody know the option to keep the trackr gps tracking active on a wm 6.1/6.5 device (in my case the xperia x1) while setting the windows mobile device to standby (display off function)?

It worked for me before but since the last installation the gps tracking is paused (no fix) when I turn of the display (stand-by)

    thx,

Yep, me too, in my case on an HTC HD2. Unfortunately this app is of no use if I can't get it to run with the screen off which would be a real shame.

     Cheers,

Hi  I have to look it up but it works when you adjust some registry settings regarding the screen off.

Normally when your screen is off it disables the GPS device, with adjusting the registry setting it allowes you to run the app.

    gpd0 to 0 instead of 4

    In the following:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\Unattended
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\Resuming
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\Suspend

The registry edit didn't work for me (HTC HD2).

However, there is an application called BlackMe which does the job perfectly.
